There has been a transition from receiving communications primarily in the mail to receiving them electronically in the form of emails and advertisements on the web. The real question to consider is what are the most effective tools?
In your initial post, discuss what you believe to be the most effective marketing tools for health and wellness initiatives and why.
In your response post, discuss why these marketing tools need to be adaptable to diverse priority populations.

I feel that there are two effective marketing tools for health and wellness initiatives.
1) Social media grabs a person’s attention with color and lines. If a company is selling workout equipment on TV, they make sure that there are a few of the equipment scattered about the white space of the ad. Then they have the background faded so the equipment pieces stand out ever so slightly, just enough so that it grabs the audience’s attention. Then they talk about the various pieces of equipment and what purpose they have while using the equipment. It’s the same for promoting gyms. They advertise to come on in and try a free session, which is a way to get them in the door and promote it from there.
2) Direct mailings are a great way to promote marketing ideas because, unlike computers, you can not click a button and unsubscribe from them. It is a little spendier but the end results even out. A lot of direct mailings offer a % off one way or another if you buy within a certain length of time or if you buy multiples. A lot of the older population do not have social media or computers, or even cell phones so the only way they see advertisements is in the mail. So it also depends on what demographic criteria you are aiming towards.
