Description
This final paper is a position paper. The paper will establish an ethical position on one of the three aspects of personal privacy (web surfing, work, and social media). You will decide on an ethical position for one aspect of personal privacy and defend (explain) your ethical position using one or more ethical principles along with the terms and concepts associated with the identified ethical principle(s).
Surfing the web: Is it ethical for organizations to track you while surfing the web and use or sell their findings? If yes, explain why it is ethical using one or more ethical principles to support your position. If no, explain why it is not ethical using one or more ethical principles to support your position. Regardless of the position taken, you must also present a counter (opposite) argument to your position.
Work: Is it ethical for a company to monitor your online activity and computer use and use their findings for business decisions such as advancement or promotion, amount of a bonus, departmental transfer, and discipline? If yes, explain why it is ethical using one or more ethical principles to support your position. If no, explain why it is not ethical using one or more ethical principles to support your position. Social media: Is it ethical for an organization to monitor your social media contents and base employment decisions on their findings?
