THIRD PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS APA format

• You will see a document uploaded (Gasoline presentation #2), for this one I will need you to correct what you will see in yellow, the sample preparation section.
• THEN I WILL NEED THAT YOU TO EDIT THE INTRODUCTION AND DISCUSSION SECTIONS FOR THIS PRESENTATION:
• YOU WILL USE THE REFERENCES THAT ARE ALREADY IN THIS PAPER (Gasoline presentation #2),
• REMEMBER YOU DON’T HAVE TO WRITE A NEW WHOLE PAPER, JUST TO EDIT THE SECTIONS ASKED (INTRODUCTION, DISCUSSION), AND MAKE THE CORRECTIONS ASKED.

• introduction with all in text citations, (at least 4 paragraphs) The introduction must have all the in-text citations labeled, be sure to include the purpose of the study and what your study hopes to achieve.
• discussion of results, (at least 3 To 4 paragraphs) For the discussion, make sure you discuss the relevant peaks in your spectrum that confirm what your sample is and how it was analyzed. Be as detailed as possible when discussing the sample spectrum.
• Here you will have an idea of what I need for Intro and discussion,
  and conclusion:
• Introduction
• Will include a
  literature background of why your study is needed, the recent advances, and
  what Is missing in current research
• In this course, your background should have a summary of mass spectrometry
  practices DIRECTLY relating to your study not all the types
• It is important that with each reference you mention, you point the benefits
  but more importantly the shortcomings in a PROFESSIONAL way that leads to what
  your study will introduce or improve upon
• DO NOT include references that are not relevant to your study
• This section is usually the longest section and is about one to two pages in
  length
• Then you introduce what you are going to use and how relevant and novel your
  study will be
• Should be a lead up to what you are trying to introduce in your research
• The last part should have a couple sentences introducing the purpose of your
  research and what research question or solution your study is aiming to achieve
• This is where most of your in-text citations will be as you are referencing
  past research

Discussion

All the results are
clearly explained

• Start with a review of the purpose of the study and what was expected to be
  found or established
• Explain the results in the order of which you listed them in the results
  section (ex. Refer figure 1)
• Citations are used here to support your findings and explaining what you think
  they mean, you must be able to back your results through previous literature
  results
• Usually is the longest section in addition to the introduction
• DO NOT USE I or ME statements
• Discussion – a review of the results and what they mean, also a relation to the
  introduction, why are the results important, what was significant or missing?
• For
  the discussion, make sure you discuss the relevant peaks in your spectrum that
  confirm what your sample is and how it was analyzed. Be as detailed as possible
  when discussing the sample spectrum.
