Hi Everyone,
Frequently, ineffective leaders can impact the work environment negatively. Sometimes, a lead or assistant leader requires the subordinate to provide their staff with the resources, expertise, and opportunities to develop their skill set in a lacking environment. Toor and Ogunlana (2009) noted that ineffective leaders show deficits in wrongful power use, poor communication, and low experiences. These traits can also be seen in education with the leadership team, principals, deans, or coordinators. As a team lead or teacher leader, it is imperative to step up and help provide the support needed for the teachers and students. This might include providing resources, planning, creating synergy between lessons and learning outcomes, and supporting the individualized needs of the teachers (Toor & Ogunlana, 2009). Build a stronger team that understands the importance of collaboration and relationship building. Lastly, cultivate an environment where teachers are also learners so they can grow, develop, or hone their skills and craft.
