For this assignment you have been asked to create a written proposal with your chosen encoder vendor. In a 2-3 pg. report discuss the following in your report.:
- Identify benefits of chosen encoder
- Explain how the encoder will impact patient care
- Explain how the encoder will impact coder productivity and the HIM department.
Part 2:The IT department, which was not part of the selection process, has found out that you are preparing to close the deal on the new encoder. They have asked you about the interfaces between the EHR and the encoder. You realize that this is a key criteria that you forgot to include in your RFP and learn that it is an additional cost of $2,500.00.
Create a negotiation strategy to attempt to reduce or eliminate this extra cost.
