peer 1 post:
The topic that I found most interesting was contract law. I want to run my own business one day and this has taught me a lot of things about the certain contracts I will need and kind of how to do that. My perspective changed about business law a lot because I learned a lot more about it and now more knowledgeable to be able to talk about it with peers or family. It interests me a lot because it has to do with a lot in your daily life. I hope to use all this information when I am running my own business one day.
peer 2 post: I found the contract laws to be most interesting. It covered so many areas of contracts that I was unaware of. Contracts are essential for business transactions. It involves understanding legal assent, rights, claims, defenses, obligations and remedies all of which was new information to me. I also found the information about negligence interesting. I always thought negligence was negligence. I didn’t realize the various contexts of it or the various elements that it covered. I also really enjoy the landlord-tenant laws. Business ethics was another great topic that I was not expecting to learn about. It was great information learn.
My ideas and perception has definitely changed about business law and its scope. I envisioned that I was going to struggle with this course because I thought it would be dry and boring. But the information I learned and the assignments were very interesting and real life scenarios that could happen which I felt was great. I did not realize how wide of a scope business law was. From business ethics, employment law, civil law, criminal law, landlord-tenant law, it was such a wide but useful range of information.
I will use this information for my future endeavors of a small business owner. I would also like to invest in properties. This information was very useful for me.
