Compose your paper using THIRD-person language. For help with selecting the right pronoun, you may review the UAGC Writing Center’s First vs. Third PersonLinks to an external site. resource. A first-person point of view will not be accepted as that is not in the scope of this assessment. As a reminder, you are to write in third- person language.
Select one “Key Concept” and one “Theory to Practice” statement from any of the first four chapters to reflect upon.
Explain why each is personally and/or professionally relevant to you.
Chapter 5 in your No Excuses University text discusses the six beliefs of a culture of universal achievement.
Explain each belief in your own words.
Rank them in order, starting with the one most important to you (not how the book ranks them).
Explain the reasons for your ranking position.
Chapter 5 also discusses the concept of having “your moment.”
Describe your moment, or how you came to your decision for a career in teaching and learning.
Identify when you knew that you wanted to be involved in the lives of learners, training or educating adults, etc.
Summarize in your conclusion how the Key Concepts, Theory to Practice, and the Six Beliefs can be used in your future work and educational endeavors.
Using and applying what you have learned in your Week 1 Writers Toolkit, you will be expected to provide at least three citations. Two citations must be paraphrased, and one citation must be a direct quote. Additionally, at least two citations must come from the No Excuses text and at least one citation must come from a scholarly source of your choosing.
