Socrates
Socrates was a Greek philosopher and teacher. He believed in asking questions in a way that encouraged students to think deeply about a belief, problem, or issue. One of his most famous students was Plato, who became a philosopher in his own right.
The Socratic Method- Drawing Out Answers
How did Socrates “draw out” answers? He asked questions in a way that urged students to challenge their pre-conceived ideas about a host of issues. The purpose of the Socratic Method is to:
Consider all aspects of a situation.
Make sure we are thinking critically and as objectively as possible.
Challenge assumptions and thought processes.
The Socratic Discussion Garden
Part of the weekly assignments include a Discussion Forum. You will find these discussions in our space called the Socratic Discussion Garden. Discussions allow us to explore our weekly lessons in a fun, engaging, and informative way. It is a special time to let our hair down while learning in a deeper way about Real Estate.
